Ranking Member Morelle Highlighted Impact of Foreign Special Interest Money on Everyday Americans During Last Committee Hearing of 118th Congress

WASHINGTON – Rep. Joe Morelle (N.Y.-25), the top Democrat on the Committee on House Administration, highlighted the harmful impact of foreign special interest money during today’s full committee hearing.

Key witness Derf Johnson, Deputy Director of the Montana Environmental Information Center, testified about his experience with the damaging impact of foreign corporate money in his home state of Montana. Ranking Member Morelle also demonstrated how Americans can be harmed by foreign money influencing ballot initiatives via a Republican-created loophole.
