Top Dem Statement on Federal Appeals Court Ruling on Mail Ballots
Rochester, New York – Rep. Joe Morelle (NY-25), the top Democrat on the Committee on House Administration, issued the following statement on a recent ruling from a federal appeals court concluding that throwing out mail ballots in misdated or undated envelopes violates the Constitution:
“Not only have we been securely voting by mail for decades, but even the President does it. Republicans want to make it harder for Americans to vote because they know their agenda is deeply unpopular. We won’t let that happen.”
