September 14, 2026
Washington, D.C. – Tonight, Rep. Joe Morelle (NY-25), the top Democrat on the Committee on House Administration, issued this statement after the Supreme Court of the United States rejected the Trump Administration’s attempt to enforce new mail-in ballot rules for the 2026 midterm elections:
"Tonight, the Supreme Court refused to silence the millions of Americans who vote by mail. I have travelled across the country talking to local officials, and I know that our elections are safe and secure, despite Trump’s threats. We are ready to face any challenge to free and fair elections,” said Ranking Member Joe Morelle.
