Morelle Statement on Supreme Court Decision that Violates National Voter Registration Act

WASHINGTON – Today, Rep. Joe Morelle (NY-25), top Democrat of the Committee on House Administration issued the following statement after the Supreme Court ruled to allow Virginia to purge 1,600 voters from their voter rolls less than one week before Election Day, including the removal of eligible American citizens, in violation of the National Voter Registration Act:

“Today’s decision demonstrates the Supreme Court’s disregard for our democracy and another reason the public’s faith in the Court continues to erode.”
