Morelle Statement on Court Ruling Mail-in Voting EO ‘Unconstitutional’

WASHINGTON — Rep. Joe Morelle (NY-25), the top Democrat on the Committee on House Administration, issued this statement following the federal court ruling confirming that President Trump’s executive order is illegal and "unconstitutional":

“Today’s ruling is a victory for every American who believes our democracy belongs to the people. President Trump’s illegal executive order sought to silence voters and cling to power. But one week before our nation celebrates its 250th birthday, we are reminded of a timeless truth: America endures because no president, no party, and no politician is above the Constitution.
