Lungren and Brady on Retirement of House Sergeant at Arms Bill Livingood

WASHINGTON – Today, Committee on House Administration Chairman Dan Lungren, R-Calif., and Ranking Member Robert Brady, D-Pa., issued the following joint statement on the retirement of House Sergeant at Arms William "Bill" Livingood:

"Since 1995, Bill has served and protected this institution with the highest level of integrity and professionalism.

After serving 31 years with the United States Secret Service, he accepted the immense responsibility of safeguarding our elected leaders here in the House – a particularly tremendous challenge since 9/11.

"We express our sincere gratitude for his outstanding service and dedication to this Chamber and its security, and we wish him a long, happy retirement."
