House Admin Statement on Shooting Incident at the Capitol Visitor Center

Washington - Today, Committee on House Administration Chairman Candice Miller (R-MI) and Ranking Member Robert Brady (D-PA) issued the following statement in response to the shooting incident that occurred at the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center:

"We want to thank the U.S. Capitol Police for their brave and swift actions to secure the entire Capitol complex and all of the occupants, including numerous visitors, during today's incident. Today's events remind us all of the risks these officers assume to protect each of us every day, and we thank them for theit preparedness and response. We remain in constant contact with the U.S. Capitol Police as they investigate today's incident."
