Brady Applauds House Officer Selections for 113th Congress
Washington, DC (January 3, 2013): Committee on House Administration Ranking Member, Robert A. Brady, applauded the reelection of Karen Haas as House Clerk, Paul D. Irving as House Sergeant at Arms, and Daniel J. Strodel as Chief Administrative Officer:
"The House has made an excellent decision in retaining Haas, Irving, and Strodel," said Brady. "The Office of the Clerk has done an excellent job managing and modernizing the House's legislative processes. The Office of the Sergeant at Arms has ensured safety and security of the Capitol Complex, while remaining an open and accessible institution. Finally, the Chief Administrative Officer has improved efficiency and lowered costs for the House. Their continued service will be to all of our benefit," Brady added.
"Throughout their careers, these officers have displayed unparalleled professionalism and exceptional service to this institution, regardless of who is in the majority," said Brady. "I am pleased that they will continue serving in their positions during the 113th Congress."
